3rd Middle East Congress – Photo Report
The 3rd Middle East Congress took place on March 5-6. It is a nationwide academic event dedicated to the analysis of the most important political, social, and economic processes occurring in the MENA region.
This year’s edition was held under the theme “Beyond the Liberal Order: The Middle East in the Face of New Configurations of Global Power” and gathered researchers, experts, diplomats, and practitioners from numerous academic centers and expert institutions.
During the two days of deliberations, participants took part in, among others:
– expert debates concerning, among other things, Polish policy towards the Middle East and economic cooperation with countries in the region,
-several dozenacademic panels devoted to topics such as the politics of Iran, Israel, and Turkey; regional conflicts; the energy transition; the role of religion and identity in politics; migration; and the geopolitics of the Persian Gulf states,
– sessions for young researchers and students, which provided a space for presenting new research and exchanging experiences.
– each debate and panel concluded with Q&A sessions during which participants had the opportunity to directly address the speakers.
We thank all speakers, participants, and partners of the event for inspiring discussions and for jointly creating one of Poland’s most important platforms for debate on the Middle East.
