General Characteristics

The master’s degree program offered by the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies is the most modern and attractive political science program in Poland. Each student shapes the course of their studies by choosing, from among elective and university-wide courses, those that align with their interests.

The program is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s, engineering, or master’s degree in any field of study.

Starting in the second semester, the program offers four areas of specialization:

  • Public Administration
  • Political Marketing
  • Policy Analysis and Consulting
  • Political Infobrokering

Sylwetka absolwenta

Graduates of the program possess knowledge of the functioning of the political sphere that is more extensive than that acquired in a first-cycle program, enabling them to understand: the dynamics of political change, decision-making strategies, the analysis of the attitudes and behaviors of participants in political processes, their mutual relationships, and their interactions with other actors in social life.

Graduates also possess the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct independent, in-depth analyses and syntheses of processes occurring in public life, as well as to competently lead teams in accordance with ethical principles and make political decisions. They are prepared to work independently in government and local government administration, political party bodies, economic and social organizations, international institutions and organizations, as well as in the media and education.

**Graduates of the Public Administration track** also possess practical skills relevant to future careers in state and local government, nongovernmental organizations, political parties, associations, foundations, and international organizations.

**Graduates of the Political Marketing track** also possess the practical skills necessary to work in marketing agencies, in political operations, in the organization of political (election) campaigns, as well as in political parties and civic organizations.

Graduates of the Political Analysis and Consulting specialization possess the knowledge and practical skills used in political consulting by entities such as political parties, government and local government agencies, analytical institutions, third-sector organizations, as well as companies operating in the public and private sectors.

Graduates of the Political Infobrokering specialization also possess knowledge of the mechanisms of political information management, particularly its acquisition, processing, and using it to define and interpret political events, as well as the skills to report political information in various ways and to apply political knowledge to the development of strategies for political entities, incorporating the professional exploration of Internet resources into this process.

Graduates have also developed a habit of lifelong learning and professional development and are prepared for research work and to continue their education at the third-cycle (doctoral) level.
