European Studies (Bachelor’s Degree, Full-time)

General Characteristics

The European Studies – European Integration program, with a practical focus, aims to prepare students for careers as officials in EU and national institutions working in the field of European affairs. This goal is reflected in the composition of the learning outcomes and the structure of the curriculum. The program prepares students for work in EU institutions, public administration at the national and local levels, and international organizations. Graduates also gain knowledge of the principles of employment and administration in EU institutions, as well as the management of EU affairs in member states.

The classes will be taught by both university faculty and professionals with practical expertise in selected fields.

The goal of the bachelor’s degree program in *European Studies – European Integration* (practical track) is to equip students with the knowledge and competencies needed to pursue a career in administration (at both the European and national levels). Students will acquire the ability to apply the knowledge they have gained in their professional work, particularly in the areas of solving professional problems, participating in teamwork, leading small teams, communicating with others, and collecting, prioritizing, processing, and conveying information.

The curriculum is designed to enable students to achieve fluency in a foreign language at the B2 level of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and to acquire the specialized language skills necessary for their profession.

Completion of the program instills an appreciation for the need for continuing education as a prerequisite for professional development and prepares students to pursue a master’s degree both in European Studies and in other fields within the social sciences.
