Ludwik Ehrlich Scientific Award

Committee Announcements

27 August 2025

By decision of the Committee, the 2025 edition will be combined with next year’s 2026 edition. The reason for this situation is the small number of submissions received. This decision creates the possibility of submitting academic works on the basis of which a doctoral degree was awarded in 2024 or 2025. The deadline is 1 July 2026.

The award serves to distinguish the best doctoral dissertations at the intersection of international relations and international law and institutions, taking into account how issues from both indicated research areas intertwine and influence each other.

Important dates!

The competition is conducted according to the following schedule:

1) announcement of the competition by 31 January of each year,

2) submission of applications by 1 July of each year,

3) announcement of competition results and award ceremony by 30 November
of each year,

4) dissertations on the basis of which a doctoral degree was awarded in the calendar year
preceding the announcement of the competition may be submitted to the competition (the basis
for determining the date of awarding the doctoral degree is the resolution of the appropriate body).
