The Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw cordially invites you to an academic seminar devoted to the issue of paradiplomacy and the promotion of the latest publication by Routledge – Handbook of Paradiplomacy. The event will take place on May 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM in room 303 on the 3rd floor of the Auditorium Building of the University of Warsaw.
The seminar is organized under the patronage of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw, and will bring together researchers dealing with the international activity of sub-state entities, regional diplomacy, and contemporary transformations in international relations. The special guest of the event will be Prof. Jorge Schiavon from Mexico – one of the most recognized experts in paradiplomacy research and co-editor of the publication. The central point of the event will be a panel discussion titled “Research on Paradiplomatic Activity – Current State and Challenges” with the participation of researchers from Poland, Mexico, and Chile. The debate will focus on current research directions in paradiplomacy, the significance of regions and cities in international relations, and the challenges facing contemporary multi-level diplomacy.
