The Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw cordially invites you to an academic seminar devoted to the issue of paradiplomacy and the promotion of the latest publication by Routledge – Handbook of Paradiplomacy. The event will take place on May 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM in room 303 on the 3rd floor of the Auditorium Building of the University of Warsaw.
The seminar is organized under the auspices of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw and will bring together researchers focusing on the international activities of sub-state actors, regional diplomacy, and contemporary changes in international relations. A special guest at the event will be Prof. Jorge Schiavon from Mexico—one of the most recognized experts in the field of paradyplomacy research and a scientific co-editor of the publication. The highlight of the event will be a panel discussion titled “Research on Paradiplomatic Activity—Current State and Challenges,” featuring researchers from Poland, Mexico, and Chile. The debate will focus on current trends in research on paradiplomacy, the significance of regions and cities in international relations, and the challenges facing contemporary multilevel diplomacy.
