We would like to inform you that, by decision of the Ludwik Ehrlich Award Committee, the 2025 edition of the competition has been merged with the 2026 edition. This decision was made due to the small number of entries submitted in last year’s competition.
Accordingly, submissions are now being accepted for academic theses on the basis of which a doctoral degree was awarded in 2024 or 2025. The deadline for submissions is July 1, 2026.
The Ludwik Ehrlich Award is intended to recognize the best doctoral dissertations at the intersection of international relations and international law and institutions, taking into account the ways in which issues from both of these research areas overlap and interact with one another.
The competition is conducted according to the following schedule:
- contest announcement – by January 31 of each year,
- Submission of applications – by July 1 of each year,
- announcement of the contest results and the awards ceremony—by November 30 of each year,
- Theses on the basis of which a doctoral degree was awarded in the calendar year preceding the announcement of the competition may be submitted to the competition (the date of awarding the doctoral degree is determined by a resolution of the competent authority).
