Conference “Bilateral Disputes and the Role of Member States in EU Enlargement”

On behalf of the Department of EU Law and Institutions, Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw, we cordially invite you to the conference “Bilateral Disputes and the Role of Member States in EU Enlargement”, which will take place on May 25, 2026, from 12:45 PM to 2:45 PM in room 317 of the Auditorium Building.

The event will focus on the role of bilateral disputes and member states in the European Union enlargement process. The program includes a welcome address, a keynote speech by Nikola Dimitrov – former Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia and chief negotiator of the Prespa Agreement – and a panel discussion with experts from academic centers and think tanks.

The panel will feature: Zoran Nechev, Magdalena Góra, Matteo Bonomi, and Wojciech Przybylski. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Spasimir Domaradzki from the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw.

The conference is organized in cooperation with Istituto Affari Internazionali, Jagiellonian University, Res Publica Foundation, and with the support of Open Society Foundations – Western Balkans as part of the InCLUDE initiative. We invite all individuals interested in European politics, the EU enlargement process, and the role of member states in shaping the future of the Union.
