Conference of the Polish Academy of Sciences titled “Coopération élargie dans le contexte du Traité de Nancy : diplomatie scientifique, sécurité, migrations”
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Nancy, this scientific conference aims to show how the new framework of Polish-French cooperation opens the field for joint research, projects, academic networks, and soft power activities. The conference aims to demonstrate the importance of politically sensitive areas: migrations, security, and information resilience. The Treaty of Nancy raises the ambition of partnership in strategic areas and opens new perspectives for cooperation.
The Polish-French PHC Polonium project “AMIPOL Analysis of the Politicization and Mediatization of Migration” will also be presented. The project aims to demonstrate who and how politicizes migration, how the media amplify existing controversies and divisions, what factors mitigate them, and how migration narratives are currently linked to categories of security (securitization, hybrid threats, information manipulation).
Polish-French cooperation within the framework of the Treaty of Nancy creates a lasting foundation for deepening strategic dialogue and developing joint scientific and expert initiatives. At the same time, the Treaty strengthens the importance of the partnership between Poland and France as a significant pillar of European solidarity, security, and resilience in the face of contemporary challenges.
