“Democratic Resilience Under External Pressure – A Comparative Perspective on Taiwan and Poland”

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Łukasz Zamęcki, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Research at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies (WNPiSM) at the University of Warsaw, has been awarded prestigious funding under the international Taiwan Studies program for the third time! This program, supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, aims to advance research on Taiwan and build global networks of academic collaboration through interdisciplinary projects and international partnerships. The new two-year project, titled “Democratic Resilience Under External Pressure – A Comparative Perspective on Taiwan and Poland,” was selected in an international competition and will be carried out by a team of over 20 researchers from Poland and Taiwan. This is a remarkable achievement—not only because of the program’s prestige, but also because it marks the third consecutive award for Prof. Łukasz Zamęcki under this initiative! The project addresses the highly relevant topic of democratic resilience under external pressure, combining the perspectives of two countries operating in different yet challenging geopolitical contexts.

Congratulations and best wishes for the successful implementation of the project and further development of international cooperation!
