Green Day at UW 2026

Workshops on creating forests in jars or ecological household chemistry, lectures, a garage sale zone – the University of Warsaw is once again organizing “Green Day.” This initiative, aimed at the entire academic community and residents of Warsaw, seeks to popularize environmental protection activities and facilitate the exchange of experiences and inspiration. The 4th edition of the event will take place on May 26. The initiative is organized by the “Intelligent Green University” Program team.

On May 26, the “Green Day at the University of Warsaw 2026” will take place in the Auditorium Building on the UW campus at Krakowskie Przedmieście.

The event is addressed to the entire academic community and residents of Warsaw. Its aim is to popularize environmental protection activities, present innovative eco-friendly solutions, and build ecological awareness within the social environment.

This initiative is being held for the fourth time. It is part of the “Intelligent Green University” program, which addresses challenges related to the climate and ecological crisis. The program’s objectives include making the university’s spaces and infrastructure more accessible and friendly for the academic community (including people with disabilities) and more eco-friendly. An important aspect of the program is also promoting climate protection activities.

Green Day at UW will run from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The program includes lectures, workshops, a garage sale zone, and a partners’ zone where UW units and event partners will present their initiatives.

The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss ecological initiatives, exchange experiences, and gain inspiration related to UW’s sustainable development efforts. Participants will have the chance to engage in various activities, including a garage sale, workshops on creating forests in jars, and workshops on making ecological household chemistry.

We cordially invite you!
