Meeting with Jacek Żakowski entitled “Media, Academia and the Crisis of Public Debate” as part of the Alumni Lecture Series
We invite you to the last alumni lecture before the summer break! On 2 June at 6:00 PM in the Jan Baszkiewicz Auditorium, we will host Jacek Żakowski with a lecture entitled “Media, Academia and the Crisis of Public Debate”.

Jacek Żakowski (b. 1957), head of the Department of Journalism at Civitas University, a longtime commentator for *Polityka* and *Gazeta Wyborcza*, head of the Concilium Civitas and editor of its “Almanac,” host of the Friday “TOK FM Mornings” program, as well as a contributor of commentaries and a podcast for “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna,” and previously the host of over a dozen radio and television programs. He has published over a dozen books—most recently “Wirus 2020” (SIC! 2020). “Journalist of the Year 1997,” winner of, among others, a Superwiktor, two Wiktors, the PEN Club Award, the Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski Award, and the Neon Award at the Malta Festival. Member of the Journalists’ Association.
