Meeting with Jacek Żakowski entitled “Media, Academia and the Crisis of Public Debate” as part of the Alumni Lecture Series
We invite you to the last alumni lecture before the summer break! On 2 June at 6:00 PM in the Jan Baszkiewicz Auditorium, we will host Jacek Żakowski with a lecture entitled “Media, Academia and the Crisis of Public Debate”.

Jacek Żakowski (b. 1957), Head of the Department of Journalism at Civitas University, long-time commentator for Polityka and Gazeta Wyborcza, head of the Concilium Civitas “embassy” and editor of its “Almanac”, author of Friday “TOK FM Mornings”, as well as commentaries and a podcast in “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, and previously several radio and television formats. He has published several books – most recently “Virus 2020” (SIC! 2020). “Journalist of the Year 1997”, laureate of, among others, the Superwiktor, two Wiktors, the PEN Club Award, the Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski Award, and the Malta Festival Neon Award. Member of the Journalists’ Association.
