The Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw, together with the Krzysztof Skubiszewski Foundation, cordially invite you to the Minister Krzysztof Skubiszewski Symposium entitled “Poland and Europe’s Strategic Autonomy”.
During the symposium, the award will be presented in the “Minister Krzysztof Skubiszewski Competition for the Best Master’s Thesis on Polish Foreign Policy after 1945.” During the official welcome, Minister Skubiszewski’s son, Professor Piotr Skubiszewski, President of the Krzysztof Skubiszewski Foundation, and Vice-Rector Professor Maciej Raś will deliver remarks.
The introductory lecture will be delivered by Paweł Zalewski, serving as Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Poland. The session will be moderated by Professor Roman Kuźniar.
The concluding event will be a panel discussion featuring: Dr. Bartłomiej Nowak from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Dr. habil. Agnieszka Legucka, Professor at AFiB Vistula from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Minister Konrad Szymański, former Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Professor Agnieszka Bieńczyk-Missala will moderate the panel.
The symposium will take place at the Kazimierzowski Palace, in the Senate Hall, on 7 May 2026 at 3:00 PM. Registration for the event is mandatory.
