New issue of the scientific quarterly “Rynek Pracy” under the editorship of Dr. hab. Ewa Flaszyńska
Under the editorship of Dr. hab. Ewa Flaszyńska of the scientific quarterly “Rynek Pracy”. The journal has been in existence for over 20 years and is the only specialized periodical in Poland dedicated to labour market issues. The subject matter of published articles falls within the area of social sciences, particularly in disciplines such as: economics and finance, political science and administration, management and quality sciences, legal sciences, sociological sciences, psychology, and family sciences. The current issue represents a symbolic “new opening”. The quarterly returns with a refreshed graphic design. The cover change is part of a broader process of journal development, aimed at further strengthening its role as a platform for dialogue between science and labour market policy practice. The articles published in the current issue address diverse but highly topical issues concerning the functioning of contemporary labour markets. Two articles by our students have been published! Ms Anna Gontarska presents the mechanisms of institutional shaping of the labour market in the United Arab Emirates, focusing on legal, migration, and economic conditions using the example of Dubai. Ms Wiktoria Nowak addresses the problem of wage discrimination in the contemporary Polish labour market, analysing its social, legal, and institutional determinants.
