Official Inauguration of the “Diplomacy Incubator”

On 6 May, the official inauguration of the “Diplomacy Incubator” took place in the Baszkiewicz Auditorium of the Auditorium Building of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies. The initiative is organised by the University of Warsaw Career Office in close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, and the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

Guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were welcomed by Dr hab. Maciej Raś, Prof. UW, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education, and Miłosz Pieńkowski, Deputy Director of the Human Capital Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The inauguration was also attended by representatives of the authorities of the faculties involved in the project, including Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies Prof. Katarzyna Kołodziejczyk and Dr Magdalena Kubarek, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

As part of the event, a lecture was delivered by Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski, former Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Tanzania, who shared with students his professional experience and reflections on working in diplomacy.

The series includes three meetings with employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who will discuss their career paths, professional experiences, and the aforementioned specifics of diplomatic work.

The initiative is addressed to students of all fields and levels of study.

The “Diplomacy Incubator” is a unique platform allowing students to ask questions directly to practitioners from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dean Prof. Katarzyna Kołodziejczyk emphasised that the event is an exceptional meeting of the academic and diplomatic worlds.
