Participatory Academic Online Workshop – Emotional dynamics of housing policy in the Visegrad region: security as a social value
The University of Warsaw, Charles University, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), and the University of Trnava are launching a new international research project on the role of emotions in housing and public policy in V4 countries. We would like to invite you to a participatory academic online workshop, the aim of which is to jointly develop conceptual and methodological frameworks for housing research in the V4 region.
The workshop is based on a research program dedicated to emotions in social and public policy, developed by Professor Ryszard Szarfenberg and implemented in cooperation with partners from Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. The program includes a special issue of the journal Social Policy Issues, an upcoming scientific monograph, and this international research project funded by the International Visegrad Fund.
The objectives of the workshop are to deepen the understanding of conceptual and methodological frameworks for research, ensure the comparability of national case studies in V4 countries, present the project to the wider academic community, and support the development of a long-term research network.
The workshop is addressed to researchers, students, doctoral candidates, as well as professionals interested in housing issues, public and social policy, and socio-affective approaches.
The program includes thematic presentations, moderated discussions, and interactive group work. The working language of the workshop is English. The event requires mandatory registration and will take place online on March 12 (Thursday) from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM.
The workshop is co-organized by Eötvös Loránd University, led by Professor Adrienne Csizmady and Dr. Lea Kőszeghy, and the University of Warsaw, where Professor Ryszard Szarfenberg and Professor Aleksandra Zubrzycka-Czarnecka will be the hosts.
