Polish Science Day – Greetings

Dear Colleagues,

today’s Polish Science Day is our shared celebration.

It was established on the anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus’s birth and reminds us of the courage to think, intellectual independence, and the scholar’s responsibility to society. Polish science has for centuries co-created the European and global intellectual heritage. Our Faculty plays its part in this.

I congratulate you on your cognitive passion, methodological rigour, commitment to the quality of education, and readiness to take on new research and project challenges. Our academic achievements, publications, grants, and expert activity build the prestige of our academic community and strengthen its position both nationally and internationally.

The strength of our community lies in the diversity of topics, approaches, and experiences, but we are united by one conviction – that knowledge and its reliable dissemination matter. In a world of simplifications and shortcuts, it is our professionalism that builds the credibility of the university and its position in the public sphere.

I wish you many intellectual adventures, satisfaction from your own achievements, and the space to work that gives a sense of purpose.

With respect,
Prof. Katarzyna Kołodziejczyk, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies
together with the Dean’s Board
