Professor Rydlewski’s Presentation at the 18th International Scientific Conference on Human Rights
On 20 April, the 18th International Scientific Conference dedicated to human rights issues was held at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. The event brought together researchers, experts and representatives of public institutions who discussed contemporary challenges to individual rights and freedoms in a rapidly changing world. A special point of the programme was the plenary session, during which Professor Rydlewski delivered an introductory paper entitled “Digital Civilisation and Artificial Intelligence versus Politics. Critical Points of the Relationship in the Context of Human Rights and Freedoms”. Professor Rydlewski’s presentation served as a starting point for further conference debates, in which participants analysed the need to create appropriate legal regulations and ethical standards aimed at protecting the individual in the digital era. The importance of international cooperation and dialogue between science, politics and the technology sector was emphasised to ensure that the development of innovation is consistent with fundamental human rights and freedoms.
