Seminar From NATO’s Eastern Flank to the Indo-Pacific: Defence Industry Cooperation as a Medium of Cooperation
We are pleased to invite you to the seminar titled „From NATO’s Eastern Flank to the Indo-Pacific: Defence Industry Cooperation as a Medium of Cooperation”, dedicated to defence industry cooperation as a tool for building strategic partnerships between Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.
The event will take place on April 9, 2026 (Thursday), from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Room 317 of the Auditorium Building. The seminar will be led by Dr. Jagannath Panda from the Institute for Security and Development Policy in Sweden. Prof. Dong-Joon Jo from Seoul National University, and Prof. Brendan M. Howe from Ewha Womans University, and Dr. A-Yun Jin from the the Korea Institute for Defense Analysis, andDr. Choongkoo Lee of the Korea Institute for Defense Analysis.
The seminar is part of the NCN-OPUS project led by Dr. Saroj Kumar Aryal. The project is titled: “Forginga Transcontinental Shield: South Korea’s Defense Diplomacy in Europe and the Evolving Korea-EU Security Partnership.”
The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss contemporary security challenges, defence industry cooperation, and the evolving strategic relations between Europe, NATO, and Indo-Pacific states, with a particular focus on the partnership between South Korea and the European Union.
