Seminar on “Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration: Implementation and Responsibility in a Democratic State”
We invite you to participate in another seminar dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in the public sphere. The upcoming event will be held under the theme: “Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration: Implementation and Responsibility in a Democratic State.”
The aim of the meeting will be to reflect on the practical, legal, and institutional challenges associated with implementing AI-based solutions in the public sector. Special attention will be paid to issues of accountability, transparency, democratic control, and the role of public administration in shaping safe and ethical AI applications.
The panel will be moderated by Professor Izolda Bokszczanin-Gołaś, PhD. The discussion participants will include:
- Prof. Jolanta Itrich-Drabarek – Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw; Vice-President of the Łukasiewicz Research Network
- Prof. Gertruda Uścińska – Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw
- Aneta Zradzińska – Chief Legislation Specialist in the Department of Innovative Public Policies, Department of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Digital Affairs
- Krzysztof Madej – Director of the Department of Computerization and Legal Information Systems, Government Legislation Centre
- Dr. Jowanka Jakubek-Lalik – Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw
Following the panel presentations, a discussion with the seminar participants is planned.
The event is organized by: the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw, the Polish Political Science Association Warsaw Branch, and the Laboratory for Research on Artificial Intelligence Applications for Democracy (AI4D) at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw.
