“Starsi Panowie chórem” – concert as part of the “Politics of Sound” series

As part of the “Politics of Sound” series, songs by the duo Jeremi Przybora and Jerzy Wasowski will be presented, in which we find both subtle satire of the reality of the Polish People’s Republic, as well as nostalgia for bygone elegance and class. For over 25 years, the choir has been performing the songs of the Starsi Panowie in original arrangements. They have over 44 songs in their repertoire. The concert will be hosted by Monika and Grzegorz Wasowski. The Collegium Musicum UW Choir is conducted by Andrzej Borzym.

Collegium Musicum of the University of Warsaw is an ensemble founded in 1994 by lecturers, staff, and graduates of the University of Warsaw as a free academic association, giving amateurs the opportunity to perform music at a professional level, drawing on the medieval tradition of collegium musicum.

The concert will take place on 26 March at 6:00 PM in the Baszkiewicz Auditorium and requires registration.
