The Krzysztof Skubiszewski Minister’s Award for the Best Master’s Thesis on Polish Foreign Policy

The Department of Political Science and International Studies announces the next edition of the Minister Krzysztof Skubiszewski Competition for the best master’s thesis on Polish foreign policy.

The contest is organized in cooperation with the Krzysztof Skubiszewski Foundation. The aim of the competition is to promote knowledge among students at Polish universities about Prof. Krzysztof Skubiszewski, the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the reborn Republic of Poland, and the principles of his foreign policy during a time of great upheaval. However, the thematic scope of the competition is much broader. It awards prizes for the best master’s theses on Polish foreign policy, with particular emphasis on the Republic of Poland’s European policy and Poland’s place in Europe from ideological, legal-institutional, political, strategic, and economic perspectives. The starting point is the year 1945.

Master’s theses defended by September 30 of a given academic year at Polish universities may be submitted to the competition, regardless of the field of study. Theses must be submitted by November 30 in hard copy or
electronic format, along with a statement from the advisor justifying the thesis’s submission to the competition. One prize (a certificate and a cash award) and two honorable mentions will be awarded. Submissions must be of a high standard.
