Workshop titled “The Practical Aspects of CBRNE in Urban Environments” as part of the European BEHOLDER project

On July 14, a workshop titled “The Practical Aspects of CBRNE in Urban Environments” was held as part of the European BEHOLDER project. The Polish partners in the project are the University of Warsaw and ITTI Sp. z o.o. Funded by the Horizon Europe program, the BEHOLDER project aims to create an innovative platform to support the detection of and response to CBRN-E threats in urban environments. The solution combines artificial intelligence and IoT technologies with smart city infrastructure, providing emergency services with critical data in real time. Representatives of institutions and services responsible for security, including the Fire Service Academy, the Police Training Center in Legionowo, ORLEN Security, the University of Warsaw’s Security Office, and the University of Warsaw Fire Department analyzed a scenario for responding to a chemical emergency in the city center. The participants’ opinions, comments, and conclusions will be directly incorporated into the further development and optimization of the BEHOLDER platform. This marks another step toward the implementation of modern civil protection tools in smart cities.
