and then submit it for acceptance by the mobility coordinator; - select courses appropriate for the programme of study being pursued;

- complete all formalities required by:
– the faculty coordinator,
– the host institution.
During the exchange, the student is required to:
- complete the programme of study in accordance with the approved Learning Agreement;
- obtain 30 ECTS credits per semester (unless the programme regulations state otherwise);
- register for and complete the diploma seminar (if applicable);
- uphold the good name of the University of Warsaw
After completing the exchange, the student is required to:
- settle the exchange by providing a transcript of records from the partner institution.
Students holding citizenship other than EU or EEA countries
A student holding citizenship other than that of a European Union or European Economic Area member state is required, in connection with the planned stay as a participant in the bilateral exchange programme, to verify the rules relating to entry into the territory of the host country.
Exchange programme (Learning Agreement)
Before departure to the host institution, the student and the mobility coordinator agree on the exchange programme, taking into account programme differences. The programme includes, among other things: selection of courses and the number of ECTS credits (after conversion of the credits of the given institution) to be completed by the student at the host institution. After agreeing on the proposed exchange programme with the mobility coordinator, the student submits it for acceptance by the director of their programme of study. After obtaining acceptance, the student forwards it by email to the mobility coordinator. Failure to complete the above procedure prevents acceptance of the exchange programme.
More about the programme of study in the Learning Agreement section.
Diploma Seminar
Participation in an exchange does not exempt the student from the obligation to complete the diploma seminar (if the seminar is included in the programme of study pursued at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies during the exchange semester). The student is required to register for the seminar and complete it on an individual basis.
More about course requirements in the Learning Agreement section.
Extension of mobility
Extension of mobility is only possible for students who departed for the winter semester, and the extension would mean remaining on exchange for the summer semester of the same academic year
For an extension to be possible, the student must obtain consent from:
- The programme director,
- The faculty mobility coordinator,
- The diploma thesis supervisor (if applicable),
- The host institution.
