Dr. Agnieszka Bejma – Ph.D. in Political Science (2012, with honors), Assistant Professor. Dean’s Representative for Student Research Activities. Since 2016, she has been a member of the board of Research Commission No. 34, “Quality of Democracy,” and since 2018, she has also been a member of the board of Research Committee No. 13 “Democracy in Comparative Perspective” of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) and the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR).
Participant in international and national research projects, including a fellow under the CIVILSPACE program: “The Shrinking Space for Civil Society in Europe” led by Prof. Nicole Bolleyer, and “Democratization and Autocratization in Multilevel Democracies: A Case Study of Poland” funded by the National Science Center and led by Dr. Adam Szymański, a professor at the University of Warsaw.
She is the author of publications on the third sector and various aspects of volunteer work. From 2011 to 2019, she presented papers at national and international academic conferences, including in Banská Bystrica, Brisbane, Buenos Aires, Bucharest, Kraków, Lecce, Lublin, Milan, Pécs, Poznań, Rome, Turin, Urbino, and Wrocław.
Research Interests
Sociology and psychology of politics, civic engagement, participation in political life, the development of civil society in Central and Eastern Europe, the functioning of nongovernmental organizations in Central and Eastern Europe, human trafficking and respect for human rights.
