Dr. Andżelika Mirska – Ph.D. in the Humanities (2006), graduate of the Institute of Political Science (1999) and the Faculty of Law and Administration (2001) at the University of Warsaw; research fellow at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations. Principal Investigator of the international project “Local Self-Government and the Changing Relationship Between City and Countryside” under the European Union’s “Horizon 2020” research program – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions “Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) ” (2019–2023). Partner of the European Center for Federalism Research in Tübingen (Europäisches Zentrum für Föderalismus-Forschung Tübingen). From 2012 to 2017, content editor (for German affairs) ofthe annualjournal “Studia Politica Germanica.” Fellow at Humboldt University in Berlin, the University of Konstanz, the Free University of Berlin, and the University of Vienna. Lecturer at numerous foreign universities: Humboldt University of Berlin, the University of Konstanz, the Free University of Berlin, the University of Mainz, the University of Saarbrücken, the University of Munich, the University of Bonn, the University of Leipzig, the University of Potsdam, the University of Regensburg, the University of Vienna, and the Baltic International Academy in Riga. He has participated in academic conferences (presenting papers) in Tutzing, Graz, Riga, and Bolzano.
Research Interests
Public administration, local government/local democracy/participation, metropolization processes in Poland and around the world, political and administrative systems in Austria and Germany.
