Dr. Anita Budziszewska – Ph.D. in Social Sciences (University of Warsaw). Recipient of the “Swiss Confederation Research Excellence Scholarship” for international researchers at the Geneva Center for Philanthropy at the University of Geneva (2023–2024); research project as part of a postdoctoral fellowship: “Philanthropy and International Relations: How Do Cultural, Political, and Axiological Factors Shape Philanthropy?” Fellow of the Swiss Annelise and Mieczysław Koćwin Foundation (Therwil, Switzerland), research project: “Philanthropy and Philanthropic Activities of the Polish Community and Poles Living in Switzerland” (2023–2024). Research fellow at the Center for Philanthropy Studies at the University of Basel (Switzerland). Member of the Academic Council of the United Nations System.
She collaborates on teaching and research with the University of Geneva (in the field of philanthropy) and the University of Vienna (in the fields of culture and politics/visual politics). In the past, she served, among other roles, as the dean’s representative for international cooperation within the Erasmus+ program (EU) and was a member of the Polish mission to the UN (Permanent Mission of the Republic of Poland to the UN Office in Geneva) during the 43rd session (2020) of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva (43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council).
From 2020 to 2021, she served as an external expert on a project concerning Polish minorities living abroad— “Poland360,” organized and funded by the Kresy.rp Foundation and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. She also collaborated with the Polish Olympic Committee and the Polish Corporation of Sports Managers on training sessions organized, among others, by the Polish Olympic Committee, concerning elements of diplomatic protocol and sports ceremonies. She completed academic, professional, and academic at: the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations Office in Geneva, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the University of Zurich, and the University of Oxford.
Author of international presentations, lectures, and academic articles delivered abroad at universities and during academic conferences organized in: Canada, the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Finland, Croatia, Hungary, and the United Kingdom. Member of the European Research Network on Philanthropy (ERNOP), the International Studies Association (ISA), the European Association for International Studies (EISA), and the International Research Alliance on Cultural Relations (ICRRA) under the auspices of the British Council and the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen.
