Dominika Mikucka-Wójtowicz, Ph.D. – Doctor of Political Science (2012), Assistant Professor (Oct. 2015–Nov. 2019), currently a research and teaching staff member at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, University of Warsaw. Principal investigator of the research project “The Europeanization of Parties and Party Systems in Post-Yugoslav States in Comparison with Central European Countries—Similarities, Prospects, and Challenges,” funded by the National Science Center (NCN) as part of the FUGA 4 competition. Recipient of the Czesław Mojsiewicz Award for the best doctoral dissertation in political science for 2012, awarded by the Executive Board of the Polish Political Science Association (PTNP). Multiple recipient of scholarships from the Government of the Republic of Serbia (2009, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015). She has participated in several international projects and research groups: the Party Leader Database, the Post-Yugoslav Area Laboratory (PROP), EUvox 2014, and Common Voice. From 2015 to 2017, she was a member of the National Science Center’s expert team. In recent years, she has presented research papers at conferences organized by the Central European Political Science Association (CEPSA) and the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR), among others.
Research Interests
: The states that emerged after the breakup of Yugoslavia; democratization processes in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly in the states that emerged after the breakup of Yugoslavia; political systems, political parties, and party systems in the states formed after the breakup of Yugoslavia; the Europeanization of political parties; and the political representation of national and ethnic minorities in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
