Dr. Nicolas Maslowski – He studied at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (IEP), and in 2009, he defended his doctoral thesis at Paris X – La Défense Nanterre University. His work focuses on Central Europe, the communist and post-communist periods, international relations, historical sociology, and collective memory.

He worked at EHESS (Paris) with the CADIS research group on a project directed by Michel Wieviorka (2001-2003). He was a fellow and researcher at CEFRES (French Centre for Research in Social Sciences in Prague), Assistant Professor at Charles University in Prague in the Department of Historical Sociology, and in International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Economics (Prague). From 2016 to 2022, he was the director of the Centre for French Culture and Francophone Studies at the University of Warsaw, a French-Polish social sciences centre founded in Warsaw by the French philosopher Michel Foucault in the year. 1958. He has been an employee of WNPiSM since September 1, 2022.
