Elżbieta Kossewska, Ph.D., Associate Professor – is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Warsaw and a researcher at the Center for Research on Contemporary Israel and the Jewish Diaspora. She earned her Ph.D. in political science from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw and her habilitation in cultural studies from the “Artes Liberales” Faculty at the University of Warsaw. For over ten years, she has served as a principal investigator on research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the National Science Center. She has received fellowships from the Fulbright Commission, the Foundation for Polish Science, the Kosciuszko Foundation, and the De Brzezie Lanckoronski Foundation. She has conducted research and completed academic fellowships at the University of Oxford, Tel Aviv University, Stanford University, and Harvard University.
Research Interests
The history of Polish Jews in Israel, the history of Polish emigration after World War II, political issues related to emigration and exile, Polish-Israeli relations, and the cultural and literary heritage of Polish emigrants.
