Prof. Grażyna Firlit-Fesnak, Ph.D.Professor, Ph.D. in Social Sciences, researcher and instructor at the Department of Social Policy, Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, University of Warsaw; from 1994 to 2006, he served as deputy director, and from 2007 to 2008, Director of the Institute of Social Policy at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science; from 2009 to 2019, Head of the Department of Migration and Ethnic Relations at the same institute. From 2011 to 2018, she was a member of the Committee on Migration Research at the Polish Academy of Sciences. From 1993 to 1996, she was a member of the Social Policy Council at the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland, and from 1991 to 2011, she served as coordinator of cooperation between the Institute of Social Policy and German universities; She received an award from the German Minister of Education and Science for outstanding achievements in the field of German-Polish university cooperation (2005). From 2009 to 2016, she was a member of the Program Council of the Mazovian Labor Market Observatory. She has participated in 23 research projects, including 3 international ones, and served as project coordinator for 11 of them. She is currently co-leading a project funded by the European Social Fund titled “Implementation of a New Model for Training Specialists in Rehabilitation Management—as an Element of Comprehensive Rehabilitation in Poland.”

Research Interests
Sociology of migration and migration policy, social inequalities, discrimination and equal treatment policy, sociology of the family and family policy.
