Prof. Jacek Wojnicki, Ph.D. – professor of social sciences in the field of political science (2017), holder of a postdoctoral degree (2008), and Ph.D. in the humanities in the field of political science (2000). Head of the Department of Political Systems at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, University of Warsaw. From 2015 to 2019, he served as deputy director of the Institute of European Studies for student affairs and educational quality. He has collaborated with leading universities in Europe, including institutions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and North Macedonia. He has lectured at universities in Brno, Banská Bystrica, Pécs, Győr, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Klaipėda, and Belgrade. He has delivered numerous presentations at international conferences in Ottawa, Chengdu, Taipei, Bled, Dubrovnik, Kaunas, Rome, Austin, and Tromsø.
He specializes in research on the development of political systems in European countries and contemporary public administration systems (including local and regional governments). His research and publications focus on the functioning of political and systemic institutions and the evolution of governance models, particularly in the context of Central and Eastern Europe. He is actively involved in promoting academic integration through international research projects. In his free time, he is passionate about crime fiction, theater, gardening, and traveling to places of historical significance.
