Dr. Joanna Gocłowska-Bolek – Ph.D. (2006). She works as a researcher at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Warsaw. Since April 2020, she has served as deputy director of the Center for Political Analysis and Security Studies at the University of Warsaw. From 2012 to 2016, she served as director of the Center for Latin American Studies (CESLA) at the University of Warsaw, and from 2013 to 2016 she served on the board of the European Council for Social Research on Latin America (CEISAL). Later, from 2015 to 2020, she served as the representative of the president of the Conference of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions in Poland for Latin American Affairs. She graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw and the European Academy of Diplomacy. Since 2006, she has served on the editorial board of the quarterly journal *Ameryka Łacińska*. She has collaborated with the Conference of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions in Poland, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has delivered presentations in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Havana, Madrid, Mexico City, Paris, and Salamanca. She has been responsible for promoting academic cooperation between Polish and Latin American universities and for popularizing science. She is a recipient of the Warsaw Cultural Education Award.

Economic and social development in Latin American and Caribbean countries, political systems in Latin American and Caribbean countries, issues of economic and social development in less developed countries, climate security, integration processes, and relations between the EU and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
