Joanna Starzyk-Sulejewska, Ph.D., Professor – Doctor of Humanities (2001), habilitation in social sciences (2015). Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations. She works in the Department of Diplomacy and International Institutions. From 2005 to 2008, she served as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Institute of International Relations, and from 2017 to 2019, she headed the bachelor’s program in international relations (UPIR) and the master’s program in International Relations (GPIR) at the faculty. She is a member of the International Studies Association (ISA), the European Association for International Studies (EISA), the Polish Association for International Studies (PTSM), and the Polish Association for European Studies (PTSE). Chair of the European Section of PTSM, which collaborates with the Central European Association for International Studies (CEISA) and the Polish Political Science Association (PTNP). Author of publications on the European Union’s external relations, the functioning of contemporary international institutions and organizations, and inter-organizational relations, particularly between the European Union and other intergovernmental international organizations. He has been a speaker at numerous national and international seminars, including in San Francisco, Toronto, Chengdu, Taipei, Cardiff, Barcelona, Prague, Belgrade, and Sofia.
’s Research Interests: Topics related to European integration, particularly those concerning the Common Foreign and Security Policy, the institutional law of the European Union, the European Union’s external relations, and issues related to the functioning of contemporary international institutions and organizations, including inter-organizational relations, with a particular focus on relations between the EU and other international organizations.
