Justyna Grażyna Otto, Ph.D. – Ph.D. in Political Science; researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Warsaw. He defended his doctoral dissertation with honors. Graduate of the Institute of Political Science at the University of Warsaw with a major in European studies, the Institute of Journalism at the University of Warsaw with a major in television and news agencies, and the Teacher Training College at the Institute of Political Science at the University of Warsaw. He completed all of these programs with honors. He was a scholarship recipient at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz and the University of Konstanz. He has collaborated with, among others, the Polish Institute of International Affairs. He has experience working in the media sector. Since 2014, he has been the director of part-time first- and second-cycle studies in political science. From 2015 to 2016, he directed the part-time (correspondence) first- and second-cycle programs in Internal Security. Since 2016, he has headed the full-time first- and second-cycle programs in Political Science. He is a member of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, the Scientific Council for Political Science and Administration and Security Studies, and the Teaching Council of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations. Secretary and member of numerous admissions and qualification committees at the Institute of Political Science and at the University of Warsaw, as well as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Political Science. Former doctoral student representative on the Scientific Council of the Institute of Political Science; director and chair of the Faculty Doctoral Council at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw; and doctoral student representative on the Faculty Council. Participant and organizer of numerous national and international academic conferences. Author of academic monographs, including “The Destructive Charisma of Adolf Hitler,” “The Political Leader as a Constituent Element of a Political Regime” (The Political Leader as a Constituent Element of a Political Regime), and scientific editor of the publication titled “Democratic and Non-Democratic Political Regimes.” Author of entries for the “Encyclopedia of Public Administration,” ed. J. Itrich-Drabarek. Certified tutor. Longtime member of the Committee for the Knowledge Contest on Poland and the Contemporary World. Member of numerous groups and committees at the Institute of Political Science and the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw. Coordinator of the KINO [ARS]POLITICAL project of the “Ars Politica” Academic Club. Above all, an avid traveler, skier, and movie lover.

Political science, with a particular focus on political systems—especially undemocratic ones—and the political relations between them; the state and war. Political leadership, primarily in light of the personalization of politics, the mediatization and celebrity culture of politics, and the popularization of power; the role of charisma in politics. Political studies with an emphasis on the relationship between politics and ethics, and between politics and history. Pathological behavior in politics.
