Łukasz Zamęcki, Ph.D., Professor –Ph.D. in Political Science (2010), habilitation in the field of social sciences (2020), researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, University of Warsaw. Dean’s Representative for the discipline of political science and public administration. From 2016 to 2020, he served as Vice Dean for Research and International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Warsaw. Previously, he served, among other roles, as Deputy Director of the Institute of European Studies (2012–2016) and head of the full-time bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at the Department of European Studies at the University of Warsaw (2010–2012).
Coordinator of teacher training programs at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, University of Warsaw (2010–2011). Participant in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s “Leaders in University Management” program (2019). Deputy Head of Activity III.3.1 “Scholarships for Olympiad Winners” as part of the “Initiative of Excellence – Research University” program at the University of Warsaw.
From 2013 to 2015, he served as secretary of the Board of the Polish Society for European Studies. Since 2017, he has served as secretary of the “Socio-Political Pluralism” Research Committee of the International Political Science Association (IPSA).
Project manager for several research projects, including “De-democratization in the Age of COVID-19” (4EU+); “Nostalgic Deprivation as a Source of Populism” (National Science Center); “A Means to an End: The 16+1 Formula as a Milestone on the Road to the New Silk Road” (IEEM research grants). Member of the editorial board of the journal *Przegląd Europejski*.
Collaborator with the Ministry of National Education and the State Examination Commission (including co-author of the concept for the high school graduation exam in civic education and member of the expert team responsible for developing the civic education curriculum), academic secretary of the Knowledge Contest on Poland and the Contemporary World (since 2017), expert at the Ministry of National Education on civic education textbooks, expert at the National Agency for the Erasmus+ Program and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, and a civic education teacher in secondary schools. Advisor to a student research club; advisor to international students. Between 2010 and 2019, he gave lectures in Hong Kong, Macau, Chengdu, London, Nicosia, Tallinn, Sofia, Shanghai, Delhi, Tokyo, and Ottawa, among other places.
