Dr. Maciej Kassner – Ph.D. in Political Science (2014). From 2016to 2019, he was an assistant professor at the Institute of Philosophy in the Faculty of Humanities at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He was a fellow of the Polish-American Fulbright Commission. As part of the fellowship, in 2010–2011 he completed a research internship under the supervision of Prof. Richard Bernstein at the New School for Social Research. He carried out two research grants from the National Science Center: “Prelude” (Pragmatism and Radical Liberalism: A Study of John Dewey’s Political Thought, 2012–2014) and “Fuga” (The Market and Politics: A Study of Karl Polanyi’s Political Philosophy, 2016–2019). His doctoral dissertation, titled “Pragmatism and Radical Liberalism: A Study of John Dewey’s Political Philosophy,” was published in the “FNP Monographs” series by the Foundation for Polish Science. He is a member of the Forum for Institutional Thought and the Karl Polanyi Center for Global Social Studies, based in Budapest.
