Prof. Marian Haliżak, Ph.D. – professor , Ph.D. (1980), habilitation (1988). A researcher in international relations, he served as director of the Institute of International Relations at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science from 1991 to 2016, a position to which he was elected eight times. In 2009, he co-founded the Polish Society for International Studies and served as its president. From 1975 to 2020, he was employed at the University of Warsaw.

Theory and methodology of international studies, international political economy, geoeconomics, the Indo-Pacific region, U.S.-China relations.
