Prof. Stanisław Filipowicz, Ph.D. – professor at the University of Warsaw (awarded the title of professor of the humanities in 1991). Researcher at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Warsaw. From 1990 to 1999, he served as director of the Institute of Political Science. He is a full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. From 2011 to 2018, he served as dean of the First Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences. Since 2019, he has served as Vice President of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the journals *Studia Politologiczne* and *Myśl Polityczna*. He is also a member of the Political Science Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Visiting professor at Kent State University (USA) and Indiana University (USA).

: History of political thought, philosophy of politics, theory of democracy, interpretive model of political thought.
