Wojciech Łukowski, Ph.D., Prof. – university professor, a faculty member of the Department of Political Sociology and Political Marketing at the University of Warsaw, a member of the Center for Migration Research at the University of Warsaw, a member of the Committee on Migration Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, chair of the Scientific Council of the “Migration Studies,” member of the Scientific Council of the Center for Migration Research at the University of Warsaw, member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Psychology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, chair of the Scientific Council of the journal “CulturalHeritage of Mazovia.” Principal investigator on Polish and international research projects, including: “Polish Workers in the European Union Labor Market ” (Ministry of Science and Higher Education), “Socio-Political Divisions in Poland. An Analysis of Ethnic Studies ” (Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education), “Daily Life and Neighborhoods on the Border Between Poland and the Russian Federation ” (Volkswagen Foundation, University of Bielefeld), The Impact of Seasonal Migration on Local Communities in Poland (Polish-German Foundation for Science, University of Bielefeld), “Resources of Local Communities: The Case of the Gołdap Mic roreg ion ” (Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education). He currently leads the project “Social and Territorial Mobility in the Biographical and Generational Experiences of Small-Town Residents ” (National Science Center). Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Cultural Studies in Vienna (2012); has given lectures and presentations at universities in Bielefeld, Tübingen, Rostock, Berlin, and Vienna, as well as at congresses of the Polish and German Sociological Associations. Supervisor of five doctoral dissertations. Author of articles and monographs in Polish and German on sociopolitical divisions, social and spatial mobility, and cultural aspects of social development and politics.
Doctor of Humanities in the field of political science (2006), acting director of the Center for Political Analysis at the University of Warsaw (since 2016), Editor-in-chief of the University of Warsaw’s Center for Political Analysis (OAP UW) quarterly journal “e-Politikon” (since 2012). Project leader of the research project “Political Communication on the Internet” (2014), funded by Google Poland. Between 2010 and 2019, he lectured in Madrid, Prague, Turin, Lecce, Nottingham, and Šiauliai, among other cities.
