Bartosz Pielinski, Ph.D., Prof. – Ph.D. in Political Science (2008), Assistant Professor; Deputy Director of the Institute of Social Policy from 2016 to 2019. Researcher at MI²DataLab and founding member of the Institutional Grammar Research Initiative (IGRI). His work focuses on the application of natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in research in the fields of political science and international relations. He also conducts research on technology and public policy. He has extensive experience working in international and interdisciplinary research teams funded by the National Science Center, the “Horizon Europe” program, and the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). He is currently participating in several research projects covering topics ranging from the functioning of UNESCO to tracking progress in artificial intelligence research. Wherever she goes, she ensures that social scientists are not afraid to use the latest information technologies, and that computer scientists use their tools in ways that allow for a better understanding of complex social and political processes.
