Prof. Justyna Zając, Ph.D. – Ph.D. in Political Science (2004), habilitation in Political Science (2010), full professor of social sciences (2018). Professor. From 2012 to 2016, she was a member of the Rector’s Committee on Scholarships and Grants (University of Warsaw) and the Advisory Board of the University Library (University of Warsaw). Member of the Commission for the Strategic Review of National Security appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland (2010–2012); Chair of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2011–2012); Member of the Steering Committee of the Permanent Group on International Relations at the European Consortium for Political Research (2004–2010). She was a fellow of the National Science Center as part of the project “The EU in the Mediterranean Region: Between Common Policy and the Interests of Member States” (2012–2014) and has received several fellowships and awards from the European Union, the French Embassy in Poland, the Kosciuszko Foundation, Galilee College, the Polish weekly “Polityka,” and the Foundation for Polish Science. She was a fellow at the University of Belgrade, George Washington University, Sciences Po, and Indiana University. She currently works as a senior research fellow in European security and a visiting professor at Indiana University in Bloomington, USA.

Research Interests
Euro-Atlantic security; politics and security in Central and Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean region; the foreign policies of Poland, the European Union, and the United States.
