Dr. Piotr Śledź – Ph.D. in Security Studies (2021). Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategic Studies and International Security at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, University of Warsaw. He earned his master’s degree in international relations from the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw (2015). Since 2018, he has been affiliated with the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Warsaw. Researcher under the NCRD grant “Russia’s Wars: Causes, Context, Course, and Consequences of the Russian Federation’s Military Operations in the Post-Cold War Era.” Co-founder and board member of the Polish non-governmental organization—the Association for Strategic Studies. Graduate of the University of Warsaw’s “Young Teaching” training program (1st edition, 2022).
Research Interests
International security in its political and military dimensions, with a particular focus on: European security (institutions dealing with collective security, the EU’s Common Security and Defense Policy, the security policies of European states), armaments, the defense industry, the arms trade, arms control and disarmament, international cooperation on armaments, nuclear weapons, disinformation and other information-related security threats, and armed conflicts.
