Prof. Włodzimierz Anioł, Ph.D. – Professor (2003), habilitation (1990), Ph.D. (1982), and Master’s degree (1978) in political science. Since 1992, he has been a professor at the University of Warsaw. From 2013 to 2020, he served as a member of the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles. From 1984 to 1986, he served as deputy director of the Institute of Political Science, and from 1999 to 2004, he was associate dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. He was a Mellon Research Fellow at NIAS in the Netherlands (1995–1996). He also worked at the Institute of Political Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and taught at SWPS University, the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), and the Doctoral School of Social Research at the Polish Academy of Sciences. From 2011 to 2015, he served as chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Western Affairs in Poznań. He is a co-founder of the Norden Centrum Scientific Foundation, of which he has been president since 2011. For many years, he has served as an expert and advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland. He also served on the Council for European Integration under the Prime Minister. From 2004 to 2008, he served as First Counselor and Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Oslo. He has led numerous research projects funded by the State Committee for Scientific Research and the National Science Center. He has supervised seven doctoral students and approximately 200 master’s students in political science. He is the author of 15 books and over 200 chapters in edited volumes and articles published in academic journals.

Theoretical and practical issues in public policy, globalization, European integration, and international and comparative social policy.
